Mrs. Laurie Bruckner
I am delighted to serve a 5th year at BCA as music educator. I love teaching these wonderful kiddos through music and equipping them with skills that can be used in acts of worship. The most important thing about me is that I am a child of God. I became a member of God’s family when I accepted Christ as my Savior, having my sin forgiven and beginning a new and everlasting life in me, when I was a little girl. The Lord has continued to direct my life, helping me grow in faith and joy in Him throughout the amazing course of life He has led me through.
As a music teacher I have taught in both public and private schools from Kindergarten to college, including schools in both the US and abroad. I have been blessed to be a part of church families rich in years of heritage and also new church plants, of churches with brothers and sisters in Christ of status and prosperity as well as refugees and those recovering from lives of addictions and struggle.
Our family has recently moved to the Columbus area and we love being a part of the New Life Community Church in Canal Winchester, where I have recently joined the musical worship team.
My most loved hobbies these days are watching my children in their activities. My husband of 21 years and I have three teenaged children, so our evenings are full of lessons, events and social gatherings. A favorite way to contribute to the fun for me is cooking and baking.
I am a graduate of Nyack College with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, and The University of Akron, with a Master’s in Music Ed. I look forward to teaching the students here at BCA to grow in knowledge, wisdom and faith through music!
